The Dung Beatles ~ ceramics and performance collaboration with Nissa Nishikawa

projects

A collaboration with artist, ceramicist and dancer Nissa Nishikawa. Together we have designed and made an alternative all-gender urinal/ “liquid loo” using stoneware clay (currently installed in Bethnal Green Nature Reserve), produced over 100 dung balls or ‘OMs’ containing organic matter and wild plant seeds to spread around the city, and moved with microbes under the microscope as part of Queer Ecologies Microbe Disco.
